The Saturday Evening Review, An Introduction

I am one of those highly suspect individuals who actually enjoy school. The fact that I am taking a year off before pursuing my Master’s Degrees is actually a cause of heartache for me right now. In a way Superfluously Loquacious in its entirety is a testament to the void that not being in school has created in my life but this segment in particular is very attributable to that fact. See, I love analyzing events and ideas and books and music and movies and having a forum to discuss them. For me college, through the papers and classroom discussions, was an outlet for sharing my thoughts on these things and a venue for engaging them with others. Since that venue is not available to me at the moment I’ve decided to create my own through The Saturday Evening Review. This segment will be the most demanding of my time as it will require the most preparation and forethought. For that reason I am fairly confident that it will fall into obscurity at times; nonetheless, I am excited about seeing what shape it will take. At the moment I’m not sure what types of reviews I will do. I am certain that the types of media I review will be pretty diverse, but we’ll just have to wait and see, stay tuned!
